Craig’s City Clerk is responsible for collection of the city’s tax revenues, managing the sales tax exemption programs, tracking property assessments and taxes and acting as staff for the Mayor and the City Council. Some Helpful City Tax and Business Forms
Declaration of Property Transfer In order to track property tax liability the City of Craig requires that a Declaration of Property Transfer be filed with the city whenever property is transferred from one party to another. Sales Tax Return and Supplement In order to track sales tax exempt transactions each business in Craig is required to file a Sales Tax Return and Supplements quarterly.

Sales Tax Exempt Forms Certain Non-profit and Senior Citizens are exempt from sales tax in the City of Craig. If you are eligible fill out the proper forms and bring them, along with 501( c)(3)/501( c)(4); or proof of birth date and Alaska PFD eligibility to City Hall.

Sales Tax Resale Application Business conducting resale of goods within the City of Craig are exempt from paying sales tax for certain goods. Complete the application and bring it, along with business license and information to City Hall.

City of Craig Business Registration Application In addition to a State of Alaska Business License, all businesses in Craig are required to file a City Business Registration Application. Complete the form and attach a copy of the State Business License and bring it into City Hall.
