There is no local hospital but there is a small family practice, City of Craig Clinic that provides care for our sick and for EMS Emergencies we take our patients to Alicia Roberts Medical Clinic, which has the staff to provide 24 hour service to our injured patients, and they are always available after hours when we get the call for help.  Because our resources are limited, it is important that EMS and Alicia Roberts Clinic work together for the well being of the patient.  It is not unusual for the ambulance crew to remain at the clinic well beyond the time it takes to finish the ambulance report, restock the ambulance and head out.  The EMS crews are volunteers.  We do not stay in the firehall waiting for the 911 calls.  We are either at home or on the job.  All of us have other daytime jobs.  Many are able to leave their job when the call requires more help.
