Southern Southeast Emergency Planning Committee (SSLEPC)

SSLEPC Mission Statement:

The mission of the Southern Southeast LEPC is to enact State of Alaska Tier II material reporting and to promote and assist in maximizing local ability to respond to man-made or natural hazardous or disaster incidents.

 

Goals:

Goal 1.  The SSLEPC will work with agencies to globalize inventories, develop, fund and maintain first response preparedness plans, equipment, communications and resources.

 

Goal 2.  The SSLEPC will facilitate the Tier II Hazardous Material reporting system for member communities.

 

Goal 3.  The SSLEPC will facilitate all-hazard analysis for region and communities and will assist communities in maintaining their hazard analysis and plans.

 

Goal 4.  The SSLEPC will strive to provide, refer or facilitate training and exercise opportunities for first responder agencies of member communities.

 

Goal 5.  The SSLEPC will maximize community involvement in the emergency planning process.

The committee meets the first Tuesday of each month.
