SPRING CLEAN-UP WEEK May 6th – 10th, 2024
YOU MUST SIGN UP TO RECEIVE THIS SERVICE
Please complete the form below or call City Hall at 826-3275 to schedule a pick-up.
Please note that the following guidelines apply to the event:
- Items need to be sorted by wood, metal, and general garbage.
- Refrigerators and Freezers will need to be drained and certified (tagged) before dumping.
- Fuel tanks must have both ends cut off, the tank cleaned and free of oily residue
- Propane tanks must have the valves removed or be punctured.
- Boat motors and lawn mowers must have oil and gas removed
- Tires will be allowed.
- Only five cubic yards of trash (size of small dump truck) allowed per household.
- Scrap metal must be cut into sections no longer than six feet.
- Brush must be bundled and tied in lengths no longer than four feet.
- Spring clean-up trash must be at curbside before 8:00am on the designated pre-scheduled day for your location.
- Sorted wastes must be properly separated and ready for pick up at the scheduled time to facilitate the clean-up schedule. Disposal of items that are not out at the designated time is the responsibility of the property owner.
- Do not pile trash weeks in advance of spring clean-up, as wind and rain defeat our clean up efforts by redistributing litter throughout the neighborhoods.
- Collection times may vary as the weekly garbage collection crews are different than clean-up week collection crews.
Make note that the following items will not be picked up:
- No vehicles, and/or major portions of vehicles. Vehicles, and/or major portions of vehicles are not included in the Spring clean-up event.
- No construction debris / business debris. Construction debris/business debris are not included in Spring clean-up event.
- No batteries will be picked up during the spring clean-up event. Batteries can be dropped off at Napa for free.
- No paint and household hazardous wastes. Paint and household wastes will not be collected during clean up week.
- No items longer than 8 feet will be collected curbside.
- No residential remodel debris, carpet, sheetrock etc. will not be picked up during the spring clean-up event.
