Island Charters

Kathy offers unprecedented Whale watching, enjoyable and serene ecotours (otters, birds, whales...did I say otters! we have lots of otters!) and quick, dry and warm drop off and pickups year round. Kathy runs a 22 ft. Hewescraft with forced air diesel heated with a 250 Yamaha. The craft seats 5 besides Kathy, all with comfort and great views with big windows. (PS, yes, it is covered, hard aluminum top) For the photographer worried about possible rain, Kathy offers a perfect solution, open the walk through bow door! Stay dry, get your picture of a lifetime! For the last several years, Kathy has been the go to for film crews documenting marine debris, whales and commercial fisheries in action. Kathy has her 100 ton USCG license and has been working with whale biologists over the last 3 decades in surveying, photographing and assisting with documenting whale behavior and locations. All that has helped Kathy know where the whales are year round. Kathy, along with a group of dedicated volunteers put on Whalefest each spring in Craig. Check out the Facebook page Prince of Wales Whalefest for upcoming details on the end of March Whalefest fun. Whalefest includes a night of fisher poetry and music, biologists talks of whales and herring, music by Tim Easton, Historical presentation from the Waggoner collection by Kathy and an intertidal walk led by Samatha Wilson.
