PUBLIC NOTICE – Craig Tribal Association Application to Purchase Land

Property on Ward Cove Cannery Site Tract A, USS 1429

The Craig Tribal Association has applied to purchase city owned property within the City of Craig located on Tract A, USS 1429, known as the Ward Cove Cannery for the purpose of building a longhouse, carving shed/shop, and museum. The property in question is located in the southwestern corner of the Ward Cove Cannery.

The City Council may determine the terms of the disposal in keeping with Title 16.03 Sale of City - Owned Lands. Prior to a sale or binding agreement, Tract A, USS 1429 would need to be subdivided.

Per Section 16.02.020 of the Craig Municipal Code, a public hearing on the ordinance authorizing negotiation of a land sale will be held Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. in the Craig city council chambers.
