2022 Spring Cleanup May 9 - 13, 2022
CITY OF CRAIG
SPRING CLEAN-UP WEEK
May 9th – 13th, 2022
Please call City Hall at 826-3275 to schedule a pick-up.
Please note that the following guidelines apply to the event:
- Items need to be sorted by wood, metal, and general garbage.
- Refrigerators and Freezers will need to be drained and certified (tagged) before dumping.
- Vehicles, and/or major portions of vehicles are not included in the Spring clean-up event.
- Construction debris / business debris are not included in Spring clean-up event.
- No tires or batteries will be picked up during the spring clean-up event.
- Paint and household hazardous wastes will not be collected during clean up week. A household hazardous waste collection event shall be scheduled for a date later this year.
- Spring clean-up trash must be at curbside before 8:00am on the designated pre-scheduled day for your location.
- No items longer than 8 feet will be collected curbside.
- Only five cubic yards of trash (size of small dump truck) allowed per household.
- Fuel tanks must have both ends cut off, the tank cleaned and free of oily residue.
- Scrap metal must be cut into sections no longer than six feet.
- Residential remodel debris, carpet, sheetrock etc. will not be picked up during the spring clean-up event.
- Boat motors and lawn mowers must have oil and gas removed.
- Brush must be bundled and tied in lengths no longer than four feet.
Do not pile trash weeks in advance of spring clean-up, as wind and rain defeat our clean up efforts by redistributing litter throughout the neighborhoods.
Collection times may vary as the weekly garbage collection crews are different than clean-up week collection crews.
Sorted wastes must be properly separated and ready for pick up at the scheduled time to facilitate the clean-up schedule. Disposal of items not out at the designated time is the responsibility of the property owner.
-We look forward to serving city residents during this annual event-
