The Department offers several programs and services to assist our residents.
 
HOME SECURITY CHECKS - If you are going out of town or experiencing suspicious activity in your neighborhood, you may complete a security check request form. You may obtain and submit the form by coming into the department. This information will be provided to patrol.

BICYCLE LICENSE
The Department offers a free bicycle license and identification program. With a city identification tag on your bicycle, we can quickly identify and return lost bikes to their owners. This service is free of charge - Either bring your bike into the station, or provide us with the make, model, color, and serial number, and we will issue you a bicycle license. If your children are old enough, have them stop by station when they are out riding their bikes. We will gather all the necessary information and affix the license on their bike.
 
FINGER PRINTING
If you need to be finger printed for employment purposes, background checks, adoptions etc. the Department provides this service, free of charge to Craig residents. If you live outside of the Craig city limits, there is a $10.00 processing fee. You can contact the department to make an appointment or stop by, 7 days a week, between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. You must bring a photo ID.
 

TWIC / TSA Pre Check / Hazmat Fingerprints are available Tuesdays & Thursdays, 10:00 am till 2:00 PM. Either complete an online application and get an appointment time or walk-ins welcome.  Make sure you bring in proper identification. Fees are;

  • TWIC                          $125.25
  • TSA                             $85.00
  • Hazmat Prints           $86.50 

 PASSPORT PHOTOS

Craig PD offers passport photos on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm 

Cost is 13.50 dollars for two photos.

DEPARTMENT TOURS
Several times each year, we welcome kids from all age groups and grades, from all over Prince of Wales Island to the station for tours. During these visits, children get to ask officers and dispatchers questions, visit the dispatch center, patrol office, learn about 911, and look through the police vehicles. If you are interested in scheduling a tour of the station for your class, scout troop, or children's group, call (907) 826-3330. We always welcome these visits.

RIDE-ALONG PROGRAM - The Ride-Along program is an opportunity to experience what a typical day is like for a Craig police officer. If you are interested in doing a ride-along with an officer, forms are available at the front lobby of the police department.You must be at least fifteen (15) years old to go on a ride-along. If you are under eighteen (18) a parent /legal guardian must also sign the form. It takes at least two days to process your form, so please be patient. Someone will contact you to arrange a date and time for your ride-along. If you have further questions call (907)826-3330.
